So I guess if I were to give my review brief, let the buyer beware. Before you sink 100k into a trailer in this place, know that the management has ZERO loyalty, and will toss you out for no reason if they feel like it. It happened to us, we have seen it happen to others, and it could happen to you

Great park very clean, Public bathrooms are cleaned every day. Ruth is a amazing person. Lots of great things for the whole family to do. Worth the trip in to explore this park.

I was also one of the cottagers that was kicked out for no reason. Here is a bit more detail about our situation. There are a number of cottages on the lake that do not have road access. Our cottages, on what is known as Darby's point (which is directly across from Bayview trailer park) is in this category. My family has a long history on this point, we have been here for nearly 60 years. In fact, my grandfather was friends with Otto (the original park owner, and Ruth's, the current owners father) when Otto used to have a cottage on Darby's point. My grandfather used to tell stories about how he and my father helped Otto when he was building the trailer park. That's how things were done back then. You would help your neighbor, and they would help you and no one would think twice about it.

Needless to say this was very upsetting. Some of my earliest childhood memories are driving through Bayview trailer park to our boat. It was a very sad and emotional day when I was asked to leave for no reason.

Just finishing up our full 2nd season at Bayview Park and can't really put it all in words - you have to experience it personally. Long story short, our family time together in the summer has been redefined and we cherish it. The park is very well managed and we really enjoy the social aspect but are admittedly very luck to have the neighbours we do.

Just to put in context who she kicked out, and what it means to who she kicked out. Of the 4 cottages she kicked out, 2 of them were owned by senior citizens, and 2 of them were owned by young families with very small children. The senior citizens are now selling. And those remaining now need to come from distant parts of the lake, which is both difficult and more dangerous.

My family used this park as its access point for 50 years. We followed all rules ,paid all fees on time, (700 ds for 2016 ),etc ,with never any violations, but last year the park decided to kick us out as they needed our boat slip space . Zero loyalty after all those years and relationships in the park. My father and uncle both help Otto ( free of charge ) building the roads linking the islands in the early days for access to the cottages.. The biggest hurt is my grandson, who loved the cottage dearly, but with his disability , can no longer come to the cottage as the boat ride over is now to difficult for him. Very sad.

For a long time our family had a good relation with the Lingertats. At the beginning of last year, Ruth even said that she considered us family. Then at the end of the year, she kicked us (all the cottagers) out because she said she needed the 4 boat slips we used to access our cottages. So much for being family.

Of course, technically this is not Bayviews problem (Ruth told me as much), but it does go to show who you will be dealing with if you decide to buy a trailer there. As I mentioned, Ruth was telling me at the beginning of the year how we were like family. And then at the end of the year kicks us to the curb with no reason or recourse.

But we have not been the only ones kicked out. She has been tossing people out for all sorts of reasons. If you are driving over 5 km an hour...you're out (she will go so far as to try and clock you with a IPhone app...and yes i said five kilometers an hour). Noise after 11pm, kicked out. Drive your boat to fast, gone. Music too loud...gone. The list is endless.
